What did I learn in 2013?

So it's now 2014 and that means it's a bloggers prerogative to look back on the last year and what's been achieved and learnt before we undertake the task of 2014. Now I love a blogger cliche, so here's a list of the things I learnt in 2013, which was a year of change and one in which I finally feel like I became comfortable with just being me!

I rather like rum - well chocolate coffee flavoured rum liquor anyway - this could be a very bad thing...
I can complete a 10k and it feels rather good
I am a coffee addict
My family are the most awesome ever (to clarify this isn't news but once again they've proven it this year)
I can't enter a Gap store without buying something
I'm worth more than certain people would like me to think
There are some beautiful places in the UK and visiting them is such fun

Bananagrams is a genius game

Sometimes a weekend with friends in the middle of nowhere is the best tonic
Brownies (whatever the flavour) really do solve all the problems
Taking that very scary first step is always a good thing
A purple flamingo patterned lamp shade will ALWAYS be a good idea
I love spinning, but only the kind with a virtual trainer
I can never have enough of board games
Friday Night Lights is as good as everyone says, Die Hard isn't
I have far too many books to read and yet I need to buy more
Jennifer Lawrence keeps on getting better
Mince Pie fudge is as yummy as it sounds (and super simple to make)
I find it hard to cope when I haven't got Wifi or 3G for a weekend
It's hard to lose more weight after you've lost almost three stone. But at least I've maintained that level.
I need to plan craft activities better if I want to make them in time for someones birthday
I still hate hoovering

What about you, what did you learn in 2013?
